Digital Bank Latam 2023 will cover 14 countries. In Bogotá, it brought together the most influential players in the Latin American financial industry.

Digital Bank Latam is the leading ecosystem bringing together banks, startups, fintechs, insurtechs, insurers and retailers from across the region at the most important financial innovation event in Latin America. In 2023 the organization plans to tour the region, visiting Bogotá, Quito, Mexico City, Lima, La Paz, Buenos Aires, Asunción, Panama, Santiago and, for the first time, Caracas.

In Bogotá, the event took place on May 16 at the Grand Hyatt hotel, bringing together the region’s leading figures in the financial industry to share experiences, present success stories and talk about the opportunities of this new digital era. There was also an exhibition area where the event’s sponsors could present their solutions, networking sessions with industry leaders and a program of 15 speakers made up of fintech experts, business leaders, innovators and regulators who offered a comprehensive view of the latest trends and opportunities in the market. Nearly 600 people attended, and the event was also streamed for those who couldn’t be there in person.

At Soho, we took part with our Country Manager, Cesar Trujillo, as a speaker at the event, with a talk focused on the fintech industry and user experience in the financial sector. There, we presented for the first time results from the “C-UX: User Experience (UX) in Banking Study 2023” with data from Colombia.

The study, carried out with Netquest, evaluates four dimensions of user experience in financial institutions (usability, credibility, appearance and loyalty). The research is the result of applying Soho’s “Standardized User Experience (UX) Questionnaire,” better known internationally as “C-UX.” This instrument is inspired by the SUPR-Q indicator, which uses 8 standardized questions to measure users’ perceptions across the four dimensions mentioned.

This first edition had 665 participants from 12 countries. In Colombia, 105 people took part, evaluating a total of 17 banks. During the talk, Cesar revealed, among other findings, that the country’s average C-UX score for financial institutions is 4.32 on a scale of 1 to 5, a good performance compared with the average for all banks in every country in the sample, which is 4.28 points.

The study includes data from Colombia, Chile, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and the United States. Anyone interested can request the full results from the website (in Spanish).

The Digital Bank Latam tour continues with its next stop in Lima, Peru. On July 18, industry leaders will meet in the city to keep driving financial innovation in the region.
